Job Description
Role Overview – Sofitel Dubai The Palm is hiring an HR Admin for a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, UAE. This position is ideal for organized, proactive HR professionals with strong operational HR knowledge, hospitality sector experience, and the ability to manage HR administrative functions including recruitment support, employee documentation, visa processing, payroll coordination, and day-to-day HR operations within a luxury hotel environment.
Recruitment and Hiring Support – You will support recruitment activities by posting job advertisements for hotel positions (front office, housekeeping, F&B, engineering, sales, spa, and support roles), screening CVs, coordinating interview schedules with department heads, communicating with candidates, maintaining recruitment trackers, and assisting hiring managers throughout the selection and offer process.
Employee Onboarding and Offboarding – You will manage employee onboarding and offboarding by preparing employment contracts and documentation, conducting hotel orientation programs, collecting required paperwork, processing resignations and terminations, conducting exit interviews, calculating end-of-service benefits, and ensuring smooth transitions for all new joiners and departing employees.
HR Documentation and Record Management – You will maintain comprehensive HR records by updating employee files, managing personnel databases, organizing contracts and agreements, tracking document expiry dates (passports, visas, labor cards, Emirates IDs, training certificates), and ensuring all documentation is properly filed, accessible, and compliant with UAE labor law and hotel standards.
Visa and Immigration Processing – You will coordinate visa and immigration processes by liaising with PROs and government authorities (MOHRE, ICA), preparing visa applications, tracking visa statuses, managing renewals and cancellations, coordinating medical tests and Emirates ID processing, and ensuring all immigration activities are completed accurately and on time.
Payroll and Attendance Administration – You will support payroll administration by collecting and verifying attendance data, processing leave requests, managing timesheets for various shifts and departments, coordinating with the payroll team or finance department, and ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing each month.
Employee Relations and Communication – You will support employee relations by responding to HR inquiries from hotel staff, addressing employee concerns, facilitating internal communications, maintaining open channels of communication, serving as a point of contact for employee matters, and escalating issues to HR management when necessary.
