Job Description

Role Overview – City University Ajman is seeking a qualified HR Officer to join its Human Resources team. This position is ideal for HR professionals with proven experience in HR operations, strong knowledge of UAE Labour Law, and excellent communication and organizational skills, with experience in the education sector being an advantage.

HR Operations Management – You will manage various HR operations including recruitment coordination, onboarding processes, employee documentation, personnel file maintenance, HR policy implementation, and ensuring smooth execution of day-to-day HR functions that support the university's workforce and organizational objectives.

Employee Relations – You will handle employee relations matters by serving as a point of contact for staff inquiries, addressing workplace concerns, facilitating conflict resolution, promoting positive employee engagement, and fostering a supportive work environment that aligns with the university's values and academic culture.

Recruitment and Onboarding – You will support recruitment activities including posting job openings, screening applications, coordinating interviews, preparing offer letters, and conducting comprehensive onboarding programs that help new employees integrate successfully into the university community and understand their roles and responsibilities.

Communication and Coordination – You will communicate and coordinate with various departments, academic staff, administrative personnel, and external stakeholders to ensure HR services are delivered effectively, information flows smoothly, and HR supports the university's educational mission.

Policy Implementation – You will assist in implementing HR policies and procedures, ensuring staff understand policies, applying policies consistently, communicating updates, and contributing to policy effectiveness through feedback and recommendations for improvement.

Educational Background – A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Your educational foundation provides the theoretical knowledge and professional preparation necessary for effective HR practice.

HR Experience – Proven experience in an HR role is essential. You should demonstrate practical understanding of HR functions, successful track record in HR operations, and the ability to handle diverse HR responsibilities effectively in a professional environment.

Education Sector Experience – Experience in the education sector is an advantage. Familiarity with academic environments, understanding of faculty and staff dynamics, knowledge of educational institution requirements, and experience with the unique HR considerations in universities will help you excel in this role.
