Job Description

Role Overview — City Seasons Hotels is seeking an experienced and people-focused HR Manager to oversee daily human resources activities and support a professional, engaged, and well-organized workplace. The role will be responsible for coordinating HR operations, supporting recruitment, managing employee relations, maintaining personnel records, and ensuring HR processes are handled efficiently across the organization. The ideal candidate should combine strong people-management skills with sound administrative judgment and a practical understanding of hospitality operations.

HR Operations Management — Oversee day-to-day HR activities and ensure employee-related processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with internal policies.

Recruitment & Staffing — Manage recruitment activities including vacancy coordination, candidate screening, interview arrangements, selection support, and workforce planning.

Employee Onboarding — Coordinate joining procedures, employment documentation, orientation, and onboarding activities to help new employees settle into their roles smoothly.

Employee Relations — Handle employee concerns professionally, support constructive workplace relationships, and work with management to resolve HR-related matters fairly and effectively.

Performance Management — Coordinate performance review processes, maintain appropriate documentation, and support managers in addressing performance-related matters.

Attendance & Leave Administration — Monitor attendance, leave records, absenteeism, and related employee information while ensuring accurate HR records are maintained.

Payroll Coordination — Work closely with the finance and administration teams to ensure employee information, attendance, leave, and payroll-related data are accurate and submitted on time.

HR Policies & Procedures — Implement and communicate HR policies and procedures while helping employees and managers understand workplace expectations and processes.

Employee Records — Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files, employment documentation, contracts, employee correspondence, and other HR records.

Training & Development — Identify employee development needs and coordinate training activities that support service quality, professional growth, and organizational performance.

Staff Engagement — Support initiatives that promote employee satisfaction, teamwork, motivation, and a positive workplace culture.

Hospitality Workforce Support — Work closely with operational departments to understand staffing needs, employee concerns, scheduling challenges, and other people-related requirements within a hotel environment.

HR Compliance — Maintain proper HR documentation and support compliance with applicable employment regulations, company policies, and internal procedures.

Management Advisory — Provide practical HR guidance to department heads and management on staffing, employee relations, performance, workplace conduct, and people-related matters.

HR Reporting — Prepare and maintain HR reports covering staffing levels, turnover, attendance, leave, recruitment progress, employee movements, and other workforce information.

Conflict Resolution — Address workplace issues professionally and confidentially, helping employees and management reach appropriate and constructive solutions.

Employee Communication — Ensure HR policies, announcements, procedures, and important workplace information are communicated clearly and professionally to employees.

Workforce Planning — Monitor staffing requirements and collaborate with management to support appropriate workforce levels across different departments.

Confidentiality & Professionalism — Handle sensitive employee information with discretion and maintain a high standard of integrity when dealing with confidential HR matters.

HR Process Improvement — Review existing HR practices and identify practical improvements that can increase efficiency, employee satisfaction, and overall HR service quality.
