Randstad Canada is partnering with an exceptional owner led organization in Mississauga, Ontario, to find a strategic and hands on HR Manager who is ready to take full ownership of their HR function. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a seasoned HR professional who thrives on autonomy, loves building things from the ground up, and wants to see the direct impact of their work across an entire organization.
This is a true standalone HR position. You will not simply be managing an existing department but building, shaping, and maintaining the entire HR function from the ground up. Your scope will be broad and impactful, spanning full cycle talent management from strategic recruitment through to performance management, employee relations where you will serve as the cultural pillar and trusted advisor, and health and safety ensuring a fully compliant and safe workplace for all employees.
A critical requirement for this role is strong proficiency in payroll processing for both the USA and Canada. You must be equally comfortable navigating high level HR strategy and diving into the granular details of cross border payroll without missing a beat.
The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of commitment, growth, and meaningful impact within previous organizations. We are looking for someone who does not just do the job but leaves the HR function better than they found it. A seamless ability to pivot between strategic thinking and operational execution, strong knowledge of Canadian and US employment law, and a values driven and people first approach to HR are essential qualities for this role.
