Job Description

Role Overview – Asian Tiger Shipping LLC is hiring an HR Executive for a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, UAE. This position is ideal for experienced HR professionals with strong operational HR knowledge, recruitment expertise, employee relations capabilities, and the ability to manage end-to-end HR functions including compliance, payroll coordination, and HR administration within a dynamic freight forwarding and shipping company environment.

Recruitment and Talent Acquisition – You will manage the full recruitment cycle by posting job advertisements, sourcing candidates through multiple channels, screening CVs, conducting initial interviews, coordinating with hiring managers, and ensuring timely hiring of qualified candidates across operations, customer service, sales, and administrative functions.

Employee Onboarding and Offboarding – You will oversee employee onboarding and offboarding by preparing employment contracts and documentation, conducting induction programs, collecting required paperwork, processing resignations, conducting exit interviews, and ensuring smooth transitions for all new joiners and departing employees.

HR Documentation and Record Management – You will maintain comprehensive HR records by updating employee files, managing personnel databases, organizing contracts and agreements, tracking document expiry dates (passports, visas, labor cards, Emirates IDs, driving licenses), and ensuring all documentation is properly filed, accessible, and compliant with UAE labor law.

Visa and Immigration Processing – You will coordinate visa and immigration processes by liaising with PROs and government authorities (MOHRE, ICA, DED), preparing visa applications, tracking visa statuses, managing renewals and cancellations, coordinating medical tests and Emirates ID processing, and ensuring all immigration-related activities are completed accurately and on time.

Payroll and Attendance Management – You will support payroll administration by collecting and verifying attendance data, processing leave requests, managing timesheets, coordinating with the payroll team or finance department, and ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, salary transfers, and end-of-service benefit calculations.

Employee Relations and Engagement – You will manage employee relations and engagement by responding to HR inquiries, addressing employee concerns, mediating workplace conflicts, facilitating internal communications, organizing employee engagement activities, and fostering a positive, collaborative work culture.

HR Policies and Compliance – You will ensure HR compliance by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of UAE labor law, implementing company policies and procedures, ensuring employment contracts adhere to legal requirements, coordinating health insurance enrollment, and supporting labor inspections and audits.

Performance Management Support – You will support performance management processes by coordinating performance appraisal cycles, maintaining performance records, assisting managers with feedback documentation, tracking goal completion, and ensuring performance evaluation systems are implemented effectively.

Training and Development Coordination – You will coordinate training and development initiatives by identifying training needs, organizing training programs (safety training, shipping procedures, customer service, compliance), booking venues, preparing materials, tracking employee participation, maintaining training records, and supporting continuous learning and employee development.

Leave and Attendance Management – You will manage leave and attendance by tracking employee leave balances, processing leave requests, monitoring absenteeism, generating attendance reports, and ensuring compliance with company leave policies and UAE labor law.

HR Reporting and Analytics – You will prepare HR reports and analytics by tracking key HR metrics including headcount, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment pipelines, time-to-fill, and employee demographics, and by providing insights to management to support data-driven HR decision-making.

Administrative HR Support – You will provide general administrative support to the HR department by managing HR calendars, preparing correspondence, drafting HR communications, organizing meetings, maintaining office supplies, and ensuring the HR function operates smoothly and efficiently.
