Role Overview
Desco is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and professional HR Assistant to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive support across HR operations, recruitment, employee documentation, payroll coordination, and employee engagement initiatives. This role requires strong organizational skills, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism. The HR Assistant will work closely with management and employees to ensure smooth HR processes and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
As an HR Assistant, you will support the day-to-day HR administration by maintaining and updating employee records, preparing HR documents such as contracts, letters, and reports, and assisting with various administrative tasks. You will play an essential role in recruitment by assisting with posting job vacancies, screening incoming CVs, scheduling interviews, and liaising with candidates and hiring managers to ensure an efficient and smooth recruitment process. Additionally, you will manage employee documentation, including employment contracts, offer letters, visa paperwork, and personnel files, ensuring all records comply with UAE labor laws and company policies.
You will also coordinate payroll and attendance by tracking employee attendance and leave records and collaborating with the finance department to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing. Supporting employee relations will be an important aspect of your role, including acting as a point of contact for employee queries, assisting with onboarding and induction programs, and supporting HR initiatives, engagement activities, and staff welfare programs. Furthermore, you will assist in compliance and reporting by ensuring HR processes align with UAE labor regulations and contributing to HR reports and analytics for management review.
Requirements & Qualifications
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Ideally, you will have 1–2 years of experience in HR, administrative, or recruitment support roles, with UAE experience preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking skills are essential, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook is required. The candidate must handle confidential information with integrity and maintain a professional approach to all HR processes. Knowledge of UAE labor laws is an advantage. Personal attributes such as being proactive, detail-oriented, reliable, and having strong interpersonal skills are critical for success in this role, as is the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
